Would you support this hypothetical health care plan?
People who can’t get insurance because of a prior condition pool they’re money and buy health insurance from the government. Why or why not?
thats too narrow of a qualification. could u imagine the outcry of others who may want to join for various reasons
In theory – this sounds like a good idea.
However, you have to consider the second and third order effects of your policy.
For example – would those people be able to afford the costs of this health insurance? Remember that in most insurance plans the costs of people with health issues are subsidized by the permiums of the people without health issues. If you have a plan that is composed 100% of people with health issues – what would the monthly premiums be?
I prefer instead.
You choose your doctor. You and your doctor decide what course to take. Your taxes cover the bill, the single largest pool in the country. More people more leverage against cost.
