Why has there been no TV panel of experts, to discuss/explain, pro's/con's of the Presidents Health care plan?
Whу aren’t thеrе аnу TV news networks promoting οr рlοttіng a national TV, bi-supporter, Q & A debate οf experts tο rationally discuss аnd сlаrіfу thе pro’s аnd con’s οf thе proposed Health care reform package?
Obama thought the teleprompter could handle it all.
Guess he was incorrect.
They are too busy covering the “Jerry Springer” like republican nutjobs… they’ve always sold more advertising with drama than with rational discussion…
Because if you knew everything in this area it, you DEFINITELY wouldn’t want it….
The media is primarily interested in sensational aspects of the debate that might help boost their viewership and hence their ratings.
They feel that serious panels are too dull and no one will watch them. I saw one excellent panel discussion on CNBC but I doubt that many watched it.
If they did that, actual truth and information would get through….they don’t want that.
See, if liberal leaning stations did it, everyone would say it is one sided, they have an agenda.
If the right leaning ones did it the same would be said.
Both in truth are biased.
That is why they were trying to do the town hall meetings so that they could get information across. But there seems to be groups shouting and disrupting nearly all of them.
There has, watch Fox News.
I don’t know. They seem to be more interested in covering the politics of the fight rather than the substance of the bill.
I get my information from NPR shows like Talk of the Nation and The Diane Rehm Show among others.
Really, Fox News, Like them or Despise them, HAS had expert panels, debate this issue on a nearly nightly basis. Even Hannity’s show on his fantastic American panel, always has a liberal view. Oreilly’s show has had both sides of the debate come on, although alot of the time, it ends up being 2 hostile to 1.
Don’t expect the corporate funded mainstream media to go out of their way to clarify all this to you. The minutia of the health care bill is sweet dry and terrible for ratings. They want to show you the townhall fights and mudslinging cross the aisle.
It’s all rhetoric that came out of corporate funded right wing reckon tanks.
CNN Poll today:
“Do you feel well informed in this area the health care plans in congress?
Yes, I’m on top of it. 25% 21064
No, I’m confused. 75% 62150
Total Votes: 83214″
That’s fantastic for the Republicans. They make people feel confused and make it appear as if the Democrats are rushing with health care then people trust them more.
It’s cute how CNN just throws it out there. It’s their job to INFORM people!
