Log onto www.guaranteedcoverage.com. This is a limited pay health policy, but it’s guaranteed issue.
Best wishes, and God Bless.
You can try www.thehealthbenefits.net Benefit. There are no waiting period, no pre-existing condition required. The monthly plot are low. I hope this helps.
You will probably not be able to find a company that will cover your wife’s condition individually.
Your best option is to find a further employer based coverage.
Don’t disturb with that guaranteed issue bit the other guy recommeded. ‘Limited coverage ‘ is defined as $100 a year for doctor visits and $1,000 a year for surgery. She won’t get out of it what she pays in.
Her best and only hope is Medicare, when she turns 65, or after she gets declared disabled and goes on SSDI.
if applying for independent coverage, MS is a condition that will qualify for an automatic denial of coverage.. your best bet is a major medical plot in your state (through the state) or disability/medicare
I would try to find a new job with coverage if that is at all an option. I also have MS and the medications are very expensive that I reckon result an insurance company to take you privately would be very hard (the shots are $16,000 per year, plus I take meds for fatigue, have MRI’s etc). Excellent luck and hope your wife is touch OK.
I wish, My spouse has MS and we have found that each insurance plot for him is way out of our budget, the only option we have found that is some states the state has a health insurance plot for those who cannot afford one, though have a disease as terrible as MS, we were quoted at in this area 56/month(not really terrible) and they covered most routein things(routien for MS that is) MRI’s and Neurologist visits, with sometimes a co pay of $20, we have jumped states so many times recently we havent been able to lock inot one yet, but will keep looking.
Blue cross quoted my 25 year ancient spouse at 800+/month
Blue cross quoted me and my 2 children(perfectly healthy) at 100/month, thats all 3 of us. SAD
I really hope you find what you are looking for, and question that you look tward a state insurance, for more info contact your local hospital social worker, they have far more resources than many of the DHS staff.
ALSO with this state insurance you can work, and as long as you dont go over thier returns requirements(in the end they look at your returns VS your possible medical expenses)
BTW what med is she one? hopefully not REBIF(interfueron beta) at $1,600/month.
What is her clasification of MS? Hopefully nothing worse than relapsing remitting… my spouse used to be relapsing remitting, but unfortunalty due to him being powerless to take medication(his liver doesnt tolerate) he has recently bee upgraded to progresive relapsing.
I do wish you luck.
