Lincoln was a progressive. Republicans now are conservatives. It’s amazing how you people can’t understand that. Lincoln fought against the Confederacy and now the Republicans fight to keep the Confederate flag atop state Capitol buildings. They declare national Confederate History month and say that slavery wasn’t that big of a deal.

  • tomperanteau:

@DELTABOY04 You’ve listened to the rhetoric and not read the bill.

  • Ways29:

    you Crazy

  • Keszler:

@AmericanPowerBase If you make a claim as wild as “It’s socialized medicine” or “it will come between you and your doctor” you should be able to back it up. You can’t until you can then people like me can and should criticize you for it.

  • 4M1NT4K:

and thats why i HATE polotics

  • BABABABA5555:

Either way we are going to be fucked on health care. The senators are either fighting for the fascist status quo, or socialist health care. Not that the two will be super different, as corporations can only reach their size and power using the guns of the state to block barriers to entry to the market.

The only way to reduce cost is to break down the barriers to competition, the licensing, the massive cost and length of the medical school institution, etc. These create cartels, hence the cost.

South Africa actually is terrible…unless you’re white. Look at the HIV rate amongst black africans there. the same goes for ghana. I don’t know much about morocco and egypt but based on their standard of living (gdp per person), which i realize can be biased, people are much better off elsewhere in the world

  • nativemrv19722:

If you watch the media which i am sure you do. All they show is the bad side of Africa. Children with fly and shit. But South Africa not bad Egypt not bad Ghana was bad but they are at peace now.Morocco not bad.Depends on were you are.!

  • MrBluediamond1:

Wow. Africa isn’t in bad shape? I would try to set you on the right path here but I don’t even know where to start. Yes, blacks live a compromised life in the US, but they are infinitely better off in the US than Africa.

  • MrBluediamond1:

hahah bro honestly? Anyone who knows anything about American history knows that the Democratic party of today is much closer to the Republican party of old than vice versa. And if you don’t believe me, why don’t you look at the states who voted for Abe Lincoln and you may see a resemblance to those that went to obama and kerry

  • jus400track:

I agree with both of you, and he did lie to us.

  • DELTABOY04:

its so obviouse..stop the bill the replublicans continue to get rich off scum of the earth insurance companies..the bill passes the insurance companies are forced to lower rates and allow more people to have a plan…otherwise the gov healthcare system will take alot of their customers…forcing the insurance companies to have competitive rates and also limiting big pay offs to republicans.YES there is problems with the bill..and yes it wont be a hit out the gate..in the long run it will help.

  • DELTABOY04:

you really believe that?…dude its more logical to say that maybe he had some really bad intel or something, but to say thousands of soldiers died for oil is ridiculose if that was really the case then these tea bag people should have rallied in the streets…because guess what the gov’ lied to the american people.I went to iraq twice man..and on my way to afghan…we still look around and ask..”why are we here again?”
so how are these people so loyal to that party is a mistery to me

  • jus400track:

The real reason why Bush decided to go into Iraq and Afganistan was purely for natural resources such as oil and natural gas. As our nation increases in size, our dependence for oil increases, which was a main factor. Bush needed justification to enter Iraq and he knew that if he told Americans that it had something to do with our national security (weapons of mass destruction) then we would be behind him.

Look at yourself. Your people took this land from Native people raped, killed, stole. And Africa isn’t all in bad shape. Only a small part is. The only real monster is what your people have and are still doing to people of color. All around the world. Hate all you want there will always be Black man on this planet.Hate only hurts the person doing the hating. So hate on!

  • nativemrv19722:

If your against this your miss guided. No one taken your doctor are your plain away.Don’t let the white man brain wash you. Some thing has to be done are we will spend millions just to get a check up. Republicans are for the rich and big business. The teaparty are crazy and racists and for the Republicans .

  • nativemrv19722:

    Your so right.

  • nativemrv19722:

    Right you are!

  • nativemrv19722:

Already showed the plain talked about the plain. If you want to pay a million dollors for your health care go ahead. This plain would stop the big health companies from putting the Health care mostly for the rich. Every one that is Americans should have health care. Unless you want this country to be third world country. Republicans are for the rich and big business. They don’t care about every day people. They want you to pay millions.

  • yojimbo81:

Wow. I don’t know how I missed that gem from Harry Reid. I heard some polling numbers now say he could lose his seat later this year. Crossing my fingers.

  • DELTABOY04:

your right he just went to war with a country who he claimed had ties to 9/11 and al qaeda..in the process thousands of innocent people died including are own soldiers…did he get the peoples vote for that?no..i guess when it comes down to it the republicans dont give a shit about peoples lives being they are so pro war and pro insurance companies deciding the fate of someone…all they care about is lining their pockets..dont think they really give a fuck about you.

  • SkaRocksYea:

Bush wasn’t trying to have the healthcare system taken over by the gov.

  • MSH786:

what the hell are you talking about?!

  • DELTABOY04:

man can i get a link to where you getting this info?lol

  • DELTABOY04:

The whole tea party stuff is a joke to me i cant take that shit serious…where were these tea parties when bush was in power..when the war started?when gas was outrageous?when the recession begun? you expect me to believe people are just fed up with the gov after 8 yrs of bush?lol Obama comes into the picture suddenly its all his fault lol It took 8yrs to fuck up this country it might take double that to get it back on track…the “lets blame obama” crap is played out..
