I used to use Mega Health insurance. They in the end only cover huge hospital stays, but in my early 20′s, that’s all I really needed and they were cheap. No Dr. visits covered though.
There are many sound companies that offer graduate student health insurance plans for very cheap (under $100 a month).
Just be sure and choose a sound company like a United Healthcare, Humana, Blue Cross, Aetna, etc. and stay away from companies with limited benefit plans like Mega Life.
