Another Day, Another Bailout

Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite (FL-05) addresses the House Floor about the Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act. She likens the bill to a bailout for the states, and predicts they will be back again. “Madam Speaker, the bailouts must end. The borrowing must end. PJ Harvey – Shot of Love – Live (Bob Dylan cover)

Polly Jean Harvey – Rare Live Recording Lyrics: I need a shot of love I need a shot of love. Don’t need a shot of heroin to kill my disease Don’t need a shot of turpentine, to bring me to my knees Don’t need a shot of codeine to help me to repent Don’t need a shot of whiskey, help me to be president I need a shot of love I need a shot of love Doctor, can you hear me? I need some Medicaid I seen the kingdoms of the world and it’s making me feel afraid What I got ain’t painful, it’s just bound to kill me dead Like the men that followed Jesus, they put a price upon His head I need a shot of love I need a shot of love I don’t need no alibi when I’m spending time with you I’ve heard all of them rumors and you have heard em too Don’t show me no picture show or give me no book to read It don’t satisfy the hurt inside nor the habit that it feeds I need a shot of love I need a shot of love Why would I want to take your life? You’ve only murdered my father, raped his wife Tattooed my babies with a poison pen Mocked my God, humiliated my friends I don’t wanna be with nobody tonight, Veronica ain’t nowhere, Mavis just ain’t right There’s a man that hates me, he’s swift, smooth and near Am I supposed to set back and wait until he’s here? I need a shot of love I need a shot of love

Sen. Durbin: Town Hall Protests “Clearly Orchestrated”

Sen. Dick Durbin says that angry dialogue at health care town halls are “clearly orchestrated” by Republian groups. “Town meetings are not bean bags.” He adds that “screaming groups on either side [aren't] helpful.” Sen. John Cornyn says that it’s a good idea to “slow down” and listen to the people during the August recess and come up a plan other than “this huge government takeover of our health care system.” Durbin is also asked about the White House’s “fishy” email program, and used “Senator Barack Obama” as an example. He says it’s a “rebuttal to some bad information”, and disagrees with Cornyn’s “government takeover” comment.
